Science depends on effective visual communication. Come gather new ideas for efficient data presentation. Hear from a world-leading expert in climate data visualisation. Get feedback on your own scientific plots.
Schedule:
2-3pm: Talk by Prof. Ed Hawkins (University of Reading, twitter)
3-5pm: Bring a plot session.
We encourage you to bring a plot that would be suitable for a scientific publication and one suitable for an outreach activity. A4 size or larger. Please include your name and a caption.
Tea and coffee will be provided. We will also aim to provide a [substantial] quantity of melted chocolate and fresh fruit [for dipping in the melted chocolate] to those who sign up and bring a plot.
